1. General

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. The terms and conditions set out below apply to all participants submitting entries to World Leisure Holidays’ “Wouldn’t You Rather” (“the Competition”).

  • These terms and conditions are known as “the Rules”.
  • World Leisure Holidays reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any parts of the Competition and/or the Rules without notice for any reason that is outside of World Leisure Holidays’ reasonable control. 
  • In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, the conduct or results of the Competition, or any other matter relating to the Competition, the decision of World Leisure Holidays shall be final and unchallengeable, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by World Leisure Holidays.

2. Competition

  • By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect. World Leisure Holidays reserves the right to verify any information contained in your entry and/or your eligibility to enter the Competition.
  • The Competition is open only to persons over the age of 18. Entrants may be required to provide proof of identity. Should the winner be unable to provide any of the required documentation upon request, he/she will be disqualified.
  • The Mall Activation prize consists of a 5 Night Stay for 2 People Sharing on Half Board at Ambre Resort including flights on SAA (excluding airport taxes). 
  • All Instagram Treasure Hunt winners will be placed in a draw, alongside Mall Activation winners, to win a 5 Night Stay for 2 People Sharing on Half Board at Ambre Resort including flights on SAA (excluding airport taxes). 
  • Instagram competition mechanics can be found on the World Leisure Holidays’ Instagram Account. 
  • The 947 competition prize consists of a 5 Night Stay for 2 People Sharing on Half Board at Long Beach including flights on SAA (excluding airport taxes).
  • World Leisure Holidays reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if he/she is under the age of 18, or if World Leisure Holidays has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the Rules, or any applicable law (including copyright law). Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with the Rules could lead to their disqualification by World Leisure Holidays, without World Leisure Holidays giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.
  • World Leisure Holidays decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • In the event that a prize-winner is disqualified from the Competition, an authorised representative of World Leisure Holidays will randomly select an alternative prize-winner from the entries received in the same manner in which the original prize-winner was selected, and such selection will be subject to these Rules.
 

3. Mall Activation Competition Entries

  • The mechanisms of entry is as follows: 
  • On Facebook: Take a selfie using the World Leisure Holidays Frame, post it on Facebook and tag @WorldLeisureHolidays with the hashtag #SoundOfSummer.
  • On Instagram: Take a selfie using the World Leisure Holidays Frame, post it on Instagram using the hashtag #SoundOfSummer.
  • The duration of the competition is 10-13 October 2019 for Canal Walk, 17-20 October 2019 for Johannesburg (Sandton City) and 24-27 October 2019 for Pretoria.
  • Winners will be announced on 30 October 2019. 
  • Entrants must set their social media pages to public in order for their entries to be valid.
  • Winners will be notified via direct message and/or email and will be given instructions on how to collect their Prize. 
  • Employees, directors, agents, contractors and consultants of World Leisure Holidays and all other participating companies and their immediate families, life partners, associates, or business partners do not qualify to participate in or win the Competition.
 

4. Instagram Treasure Hunt Entries

  • The mechanism of the entry is as follows:
  • A grid of nine images will appear on the @WLH_SoundOfSummer Instagram account.
  • Hints and clues will be released with the images so users can identify the objects.
  • Once users identify what think the objects are, they must screenshot the image and direct message it and the answer to either @WorldLeisureHolidays or @WLH_SoundOfSummer.
  • Entries for that day close at midnight. The following morning, a winner will be chosen at random.
  • The winner will be announced on @WorldLeisureHolidays Instagram account.
  • Each daily winner goes into a grand draw for the 5 Night Stay for 2 People Sharing on Half Board at Ambre Resort including flights on SAA (excluding airport taxes).
  • If winners do not respond within 24 hours, a new winner will be drawn.
  • Employees, directors, agents, contractors and consultants of World Leisure Holidays and all other participating companies and their immediate families, life partners, associates, or business partners do not qualify to participate in or win the Competition.
 

5. Prizes

  • The following prizes may be won during the World Leisure Holidays Mall Activation & Instagram Treasure Hunt: 5 Night Stay for 2 People Sharing on Half Board at Ambre Resort including flights on SAA (excluding airport taxes). We will also do small giveaways during the promo week on radio, i.e. hampers (not local holidays).
  • Prizes will be randomly selected by World Leisure Holidays and the winners will be announced on social media and will each receive a direct message as well.

6. Prize-winners

  • One prize-winner will be drawn from the Mall Activations (Sandton City, Canal Walk & Pretoria) and the Instagram Treasure Hunt entries.
  • Prize-winners will be notified on Facebook and/or email.
  • Should a prize-winner not respond to the direct message or email within 24 hours, World Leisure Holidays reserves the right to draw an alternative winner from the pool of remaining entries.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be sold or exchanged for cash. 
  • Prize-winners may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes, and will not be entitled to remuneration in exchange for such publicity. Such publicity includes, but is not limited to: images, statements and information about the winners. All publicity materials remain the property of World Leisure Holidays and their promoters.

7. Liability

  • World Leisure Holidays accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant in entering the Competition, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize.
  • World Leisure Holidays accepts no responsibility for entries entered incorrectly. 
  • World Leisure Holidays does not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, with regard to the prize, and in particular, but without limitation, makes no representations and gives no warranty that: 

a) Your entry or participation in the competition will necessarily result in your winning a Prize;

b) a Prize, or any aspect thereof, will meet your requirements, preferences, standards or expectations; or

c) a Prize, or any aspect thereof, will be satisfactory, punctual, free from defects, safe or reliable.

 

8. Intellectual Property Rights and Data Protection

  • World Leisure Holidays will use any personal information that you provide with your entry only for the purposes of the Competition and, where you have given your consent, for marketing purposes, including the distribution of regular email or SMS updates or newsletters. Any personal information relating to entrants will be used solely by World Leisure Holidays in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
  • All prize winners unconditionally agree (as a condition of accepting any prize) to:

a) the use of their names, one or more photographs of themselves and disclosure of their city of residence; and

b) to co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-competition publicity.

 

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Rules shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  • The Parties agree that the South African courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction with regard to any matter contemplated herein.usin
